George III Silver Caddy Spoon, 1811 Kidney-shaped Bowl

The Birmingham outfit of Cocks & Bettridge made some beautiful silver caddy spoons and those with the kidney-shaped bowl were a speciality.

This Georgian silver caddy spoon has an attactively engraved kidney-shaped bowl and handle with vacant cartouche. There are a couple of flaws/scratches to the reverse of the handle adjacent to the crisp set of hallmarks, but otherwise this is an excellent sought-after spoon in fine condition.
