Caddy Spoon - Gilt, Fluted Bowl - London 1853 by Francis Higgins - 8.3cm long; 26g - NC/9591
This a good-looking silver caddy spoon made by one of the premier flatware makers of the 19th century. It has the trademark, high-quality fluted bowl so often found on Francis Higgins' caddy spoons and on this example it has the bonus of being gilt. The cast handle is attractively decorated and includes a flower motif to the terminal. The spoon is in excellent condition.
