This is a top quality silver marrow scoop made in one of the premier flatware patterns, fiddle, thread & shell.

It was made by Francis Higgins in the mid-Victorian period and has a good, solid weight in the hand. The diamond-heel decoration remains crisp and the larger scoop bears an original engraved crest featuring a cat rampant within a garter. This marrow scoop is in excellent condition.
