Scottish Silver Marrow Scoop, 1759 Lothian & Robertson
£245.00
Marrow Scoop - Double-ended - Edinburgh 1759 by Lothian & Robertson - 22cm long; 39g - ML/4553
Antique Scottish silver marrow scoops are relatively scarce and this is a fine Edinburgh-made example.
Made in the early George III period, this marrow scoop takes the standard double-ended form and has legible Scottish hallmarks that include the "L&R" mark of the important makers, Lothian & Robertson. Marrow spoons were used to eat marrowfat from beef bones and this is a great example in fine original condition.
