Eric Clements Design Silver Pint Mug, 1963

This is a lovely, stylish silver pint mug made by Mappin & Webb in the early 1960's. 

Designed by Eric Clements and suitably engraved with an acknowledgment to the underside, this beer tankard has a good sturdy weight and feels great in the hand. It is in excellent condition with no dings, damage nor engravings.

During the late 50's and early 60's Eric Clements was head of the School of Jewellery and Silversmithing in Birmingham and acted as consultant designer to Mappin & Webb. He was inspired by the elegant lines of Scandinavian design and the pint mug exemplifies this influence.
