Toddy Ladle - Fiddle Pattern - Dundee circa 1810 by David Manson - 15cm long; 22g - SF/8771d

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an excellent silver toddy ladle made in Dundee by David Manson (working period 1809-18). This spoon is expertly engraved to the front terminal with a complex cipher in block with each letter shaded differently to allow the identification of the letters R,C & I. There is an excellent set of Scottish provincial marks to the reverse with a clear pot of lilies mark for Dundee.
