£198.00
Sugar Tongs - Old English Pattern - Dumfries circa 1825 by David Greig - 14.5cm long; 50g - TC/1690
Bearing Scottish provincial silver marks to both arms, these Georgian sugar tongs were made in Dumfries by David Greig. The marks consist of a "unicorn's head", "fouled anchor" and "DG" to one arm and "DG" and another intriguing set of initials (ending in "M") to the other.
These Old English pattern sugar tongs are beautifully engraved with an original block letter "B" to the outside of the bow. The tongs are in fine condition.
