Sugar Tongs - Cast - London circa 1775 by Benjamin Mordecai - 137mm, 35 grams - Ref. No.: JD/1812
These are a fine pair of Georgian sugar tongs with cast solid arms decorated with flowers and scroll motifs. The bow has an attractive bright-cut engraved border and bears the initials "RT" belonging to the original owner. They are appropriately marked with a makers mark and lion passant. They are in excellent original condition without any of the usual condition issues found on this type of item.
