Marrow Scoop - Double-ended - Dublin circa 1770 by Christopher Skinner - 21.8cm long; 57g - PH/5428

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a top quality Irish silver double-ended marrow scoop with a good weight in the hand.

The presence of the engraved crest depicting a lion emanating from a crown to the reverse of the larger scoop adds further to the calibre of this piece. The scoop was made in Dublin by the premier silversmith Christopher Skinner and bears a good set of appropriate hallmarks to the central shank for circa 1770 - date letters tended not to be stamped at this time. The condition is excellent with a good patina.
