Crested Silver Caddy Spoon, Dublin 1831
£190.00
Caddy Spoon - Fiddle Pattern - Dublin 1831 by SG - 9.8cm long; 15g - JT/5819
This is a handsome, antique, Irish silver caddy spoon with a most unusual style of fluting to the bowl.
The handle is fiddle pattern and is clearly engraved with an original, lion's head crest to the terminal. The near-circular bowl is fluted in two directions to make an interesting design that can be seen more clearly on the photo showing the reverse side. The spoon was made in Dublin by the unknown maker "SG". The spoon is in fine condition with clear hallmarks.
