Crested Marrow Scoop, Dublin 1788
Marrow Scoop - Double-Ended - Dublin 1788 by John Shiels - 25cm long; 62g - EV/9785
With a 2 tr.oz. weight and measuring just shy of 10" long, this is a good, hefty silver marrow scoop made by a top Dublin flatware maker. The engraved crest to the reverse side of the wider scoop add an extra degree of quality. This antique marrow scoop is clearly hallmarked with Irish silver marks and the overall condition, complete with thick bowl rims and patina, is fabulous. A fine example!
