Marrow Scoop - Double Ended - Chester 1723 by Benjamin Pemberton - 22cm long; 42g - JJ/6634

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an extremely rare George I period silver marrow scoop made in Chester by Benjamin Pemberton and bearing his "BP" maker's mark. Taking the usual double-ended form, the larger scoop is engraved with and original "D" over "IM" initials in the form of a betrothal triangle, where "D" is the happy couple's surname. The central shank is clearly hallmarked with a great set of Chester Assay office hallmarks. This rare north country scoop is in fine condition throughout.
