Craw & Hill Silver Table Spoon, Canongate c.1770
£780.00
Table Spoon - Hanoverian Pattern - Canongate circa 1770 by William Craw & James Hill - 22cm long; 73g - LM/5645
This is a very rare Scottish provincial silver table spoon made in Canongate by Craw & Hill.
This early George III Hanoverian pattern spoon has a very hefty feel in the hand and remains in superb original condition with a thick bowl rim and original engraved letter "L" in script to the reverse terminal. The marks are deeply struck to the bottom of the stem and include the scarcely encountered maker's mark "C&H" for the partnership of William Craw and James Hill.
This is an outstanding spoon in fine condition!
