Wick Silver Table Spoon by John Sellar
Table Spoon - Fiddle Pattern - Wick circa 1830 by John Sellar - 21.6cm long; 77g - FS/5413
This is a great example of a rare northern Scottish provincial silver table spoon made in Wick by John Sellar.
Made during the 1830's, the spoon is clearly stamped with the highly sought after marks for John Sellar "JS" of "WICK" and a conjoined "AF" mark struck twice. Beautifully engraved script initials "JC" can be found to the front terminal, plus the spoon has a good, hefty weight in the hand and is in superb condition.
A very rare, top quality Scottish spoon at a great price!
