Soup Ladle - Old English pattern - Cork circa 1800 by John Toleken - 35cm long; 182g - AT/9912
Cork-made silver soup ladles are extremely rare and this is a fantastic example made at the turn of the 18th to 19th centuries by John Toleken.
This large 13" long ladle is very simple in design with no engravings and an elegant, deep, oval bowl. The reverse side is very clearly marked with the "STERLING" and "TOLEKEN" marks and the ladle is in excellent, antique condition.
