Cork Silver Table Spoon, c.1765 William Reynolds
£550.00
Table Spoon - Hanoverian Pattern - Cork circa 1765 by William Reynolds - 20cm long; 57.5g - ND/7741
This is a first class example of a rare mid-18th century Irish provincial silver table spoon from Cork.
Made by William Reynolds, this table spoon has a good solid feel in the hand and is in fine condition with a nice, thick bowl tip, good patina and clearly struck marks. The reverse side of the terminal bears a crisp, engraved crest featuring a lion's head erased. The three marks read "WR" in script (twice) and "STERLING".
