Sold
Coffee Pot - Pear-shape - London 1755 by Robert Albion Cox - 245mm high; 900ml (1.5 pints); 740g weight - Ref. No.: DG/9819
One of the most attractive coffee pots we have ever come across. This George II coffee pot has a very elegant bellied form with double scroll pear wood handle. It has a stylish cast spout and pineapple finial. The later bright-cut engraving is beautifully executed and is perfect for the pot.
A high quality piece by an important specialist hollowware maker. Superb condition throughout with a lovely patina (n.b the vertical lines in the centre of the photos are reflections!).
