The clover leaf is one of the finest qualty and most highly desirable of all silver wine labels.
This example for Madeira was made by Benjamin Smith who was a major supplier to the royal goldsmiths Rundell, Bridge & Rundell. The expected high quality is evident throughout. The label is cast, weighty and modelled in the form of a four-leaf clover leaf with the title incised and blackened. It hangs from a very hefty chain and is in excellent condition.
