The Birmingham silversmithing firm of Lawrence & Company are known for the innovative ways of decorating the edges of caddy spoon bowls, with hoods at the bowl junction being the most prevalent. The bowl of this Georgian silver caddy spoon is attractively decorated with a laurel wreath and has an engraved flower-head to the bowl centre. The bifurcated handle is also engraved and bears an original monogram to the terminal. This is a good-looking spoon in fine condition.
