Sorry, this item is out of stock.

An extremely rare silver-gilt Brandy label in the form of a heavy disc with a laurel leaf border and bearing a bold engraved griffin crest to the centre. The crest belongs to either the Chambers, Cornish or Cotton family. This William IV period wine label has a really solid weight, bears hallamrks for a premier silversmithing partnership and hangs from a good quality belcher chain. It is in superb condition.

This fine quality label has the excellent provenance of once being part of the important Albert Collection. It is illustrated and discussed in the book "The Albert Collection" by Robin Butler - page 290, entry 692.
