Candlesticks (pair) - Square-based - London 1767 by William Cafe - 29cm high; 1680g combined gross weight - GR/9838

These are a good looking pair of antique square-based, Georgian silver candlesticks by the most important specialist candlestick maker of the period - William Cafe.

At almost 12" high, they make a good, impressive show and the discreet engraved crests (on the steps of the bases), are signs of their rich heritage. Both candlesticks retain their original removable sconce nozzles that aids the easy cleaning of spent wax. The interiors are filled to give extra stability and other than a couple of minor dings, they remain in excellent condition.
