This is a great example of an antique silver handled bottle opener with the bonus of being made by one of the most important silversmiths of the 20th century, Georg Jensen.
The handle of this good-looking bottle opener is made from Sterling silver and in the Acorn pattern which was one of Jensen's most popular designs. The stainless steel opener section is strong enough to remove bottle caps and despite some age related pitting is in fine practical condition.
The silver handle is appropriately marked with STERLING marks and the Georg Jensen workshop marks for the 1910-25 period, therefore dating this piece to circa 1920.
