Sorry, this item is out of stock.

An extremely rare set of genuine 18th century Irish 3-pronged forks. These beautiful dessert forks each bear clear hallmarks for Dublin 1786 by John Pittar. Irish dessert forks of any pattern can be tricky to find, but 3-pronged forks are almost unheard of. These forks have an aristocratic background with each one being engraved to the reverse terminal with crowned initial "JF" - the five point coronet belonging to an Earl. With research it would be possible to ascertain the title of the original owner. These forks are in superb original condition and have a lovely feel in the hand.
