These are an outstanding pair of Irish provincial hook-end basting spoons. The "hook-end" was an Irish speciality and examples from Dublin are relatively common, but provincially marked examples are much more scarce and you are unlikely to find much better than the pair on offer. They both have a good weight and are in excellent condition with good thick bowl tips. They bear original script engraved "FES" initials in script and clearly struck marks "CT" "STERLING" " CT".
