Teaspoons (6) - Naturalistic; Gilt - London circa 1750 by Francis Harache - 10.6cm long; 87g combined weight - KJ/6783

This is a fabulous set of mid-18th century Rococo silver-gilt teaspoons made in the Naturalistic manner.

These top quality, cast spoons have a good weight and were made by Francis Harache who was one of the most important makers of small, cast silver during the George II period. Many small spoons from the period were unmarked but these benefit from each being stamped (in varing degrees of clarity) with an "FH crowned" incuse mark. The bowls are formed as shells whilst the handles terminate in a leafy tendril. These were top-end, high class spoons in their day and the engraved crest to each terminal is indicative of their rich heritage.

The condition is excellent through with no wear to the gilding - all-in-all these are a superb set of teaspoons.
