6 Hester Bateman Table Spoons, 1787

These are a fabulous half dozen Georgian silver table spoons by the esteemed Hester Bateman. Each spoon is engraved with a sitting hound crest and has an elegantly proportioned Old English pattern handle.

These almost 9" long spoons have a pleasing feel in the hand with a nice balance and benefit from have a fine, clear set of hallmarks with the all important "HB" in script maker's mark. A further bonus is the excellent condition with all spoons retaining their original bowl tips, having no dings/dents and showing off a good, antique patina.
