12" Silver Ruler/Letter Opener, 1913
Ruler/Letter Opener - London 1913 by Drew & Sons - 30.5cm long; 84g - MC/2112
This is a high quality, clever combination of a silver letter opener and a 12" ruler.
Made by the Piccadilly outfit of Drew & Sons, this early 20th century silver paper knife has a beveled top edge and tapered point to ease the opening of mail. The inch measurements are accurate and of course the rule provides a straight line for underlining. Everything you could want in a space-saving desk accoutrement! Furthermore, it has a nice solid feel in the hand and is in perfect condition.
