Water Lilies Caddy Spoon, 1861
Caddy Spoon - Water Lilies - Birmingham 1861 by Hilliard & Thomason - 9cm long; 13.8g - EC/2643
The Birmingham outfit of Hilliard & Thomason produced a range of floral themed silver tea caddy spoons and this example is one of their most popular.
The spoon features a lily pad either side of the tendril handle junction with the bowl and a third at the terminal which bears the hallmarks. The fluted bowl is attractively embossed with a range of sea shells and ferns. A lovely Victorian caddy spoon in excellent condition.
