Tea Infuser - Egg-shaped; Pierced - London 1856 by Thomas Johnson - 5.8cm long; 43g - CB/5328
This is a lovely mid-Victorian silver tea infuser made in London by Thomas Johnson.
It is a large tea infuser – about the same size and shape as a standard egg’s hen – with beautifully pierced crosslets, roundels and scrolls. There is a hinge to the centre and it hangs from a chain terminating in a hook. This tea infuser is in fine condition throughout.
