Windsor Castle Card Case, 1856

This is an excellent silver card case with an unusual engraved scene of Windsor castle with the River Thanes, complete with rower, in the foreground. The scene is enveloped within a scroll border, whilst the obverse is profusely engraved with foliate scrolls around a central cartouche containing a script and block style cipher. The condition is excellent throughout with crisp engraving and clear hallmarks.
