Hunting Horn - London 1878 by A Hays - 25.8m long; 132grams - Ref. No.: HV/8291
This is an excellent example of a Victorian silver hunting horn in the usual form with an interesting engraved inscription. The horn is in fine original condition with a 2.25" diameter bell. The inscription reads:-
"Presented to "
Jim Hume
30 years huntsman
To Eastbourne Harriers
By AT"
The reverse side is engraved with the name and address of the London retailer and reads "1066 A. Hays 4, Royal Exchange Buildings, Cornhill EC".
