Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an outstanding silver hip or spirit flask dating from the middle of the 19th century and surviving in fabulous condition. The fine condition is testament to the good gauge of silver used in its manufacture so that there are no leaks and just a few very minor bruises from use (felt rather than seen). The flask is decorated to both sides with a superb display of floral scroll engraving that remains crisp and is centred to one side with a double headed griffin crest above a crescent. There is a corked screw-thread cap to the top and the full set of hallmarks are spread between front and back. A stunning piece of Victorian silver!
