Victorian Cast Caddy Spoon, 1867

Sold
Caddy Spoon - Cast - London 1867 by George Adams - 8.7cm long; 25g - BB/5552
A fine example of a typically good quality caddy spoon from the Chawner & Company workshop. This cast silver spoon has a bowl of over-lapping leaves and a vacant cartouche to the handle. It has a good, hefty weight and is in excellent condition with clear London hallmarks for George Adams (owner of Chawner & Co.).
See Norie "Caddy Spoons: An Illustrated Guide" plate 26e for an identical example.
