Tumbler Cup - Domed Base - London 1682 - 58mm high; 80mm diameter top rim; 116g - WZ/3156

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A rare Charles II period silver tumbler cup with an engraved coat-of-arms. This large tumbler cup was made from a good gauge of silver and is in fine condition. The clear hallmarks are located to the underside, but apparently there is no maker's mark. Hollowware from this period is scarce and this is a good item at a sensible price.

The coat-of-arms is engraved in the typical style for the period. The shading used to denote colour was not introduced until the early 18th century, so the colours on these arms cannot be worked out, but evidently they were striped horizontally.
