Wine Label - Teneriffe; Disc shape - London 1811 by John Whittingham - 3.3cm diameter; 8g - SK/3580
Button or disc shaped labels are much less common than rectangles, ovals, crescents and scrolls that were found during the early years of the 19th century. This examples also differs from other button labels by having a decorated border (resembling an ouroboros) and is engraved "TENERIFFE" to the centre. This Georgian label is in fine condition.
