Tea Caddy, London 1891
Sold
Tea Caddy - Oblong with sliding cover - London 1891 by George Unite - 14cm high; 10cm long; 7cm wide; 224g weight - Ref. No.: ED/1755
This is a good quality, late Victorian silver tea caddy in the style of those first introduced during the reign of Queen Anne. It has a rectangular form with cut-corners and the sliding cover is diagnostic for the early 18th century to allow easy re-filling.
The tea caddy is in excellent condition. The hallmarks to the body are rather worn, but those to the slide and to the domed cover remain legible. A good quality piece at a very competitive price.
