Cast Swan Caddy Spoon, 1832

Sold
Caddy Spoon - Cast Swan - London 1832 by Richard Sibley - 9.5cm long; 66g - FG/6328
This is an extremely rare form of caddy spoon of which we are aware of just one other example that we were fortunate to sell two years ago. The spoon has a good hefty weight with a good gauge of silver used throughout. It has a superb shell bowl and the handle is well modelled as a swan's neck and head. It sits beautifully in the hand and feels fabulous!
The spoon was made by the highly regarded Richard Sibley and the marks are located along the neck. Excellent condition throughout and a very fine example indeed.
