Stag Hunt Silver Caddy Spoon, 1826
Sold
Caddy Spoon - Stag Hunt Pattern - London 1826 by Charles Eley - 11.7cm long; 31g - LS/4695
Designed during the Regency period by Thomas Stothard, Stag Hunt pattern depicts a scene showing a stag being brought to ground by a pack of hounds to the front of the handle, whilst to the reverse is a collection of hunting regalia: horn, quiver of arrows and scarf.
This silver caddy spoon is an early example of Stag Hunt pattern and was made by Charles Eley during the George IV period. There is a slight loss of detailing to the scene, but overall the condition is good.
