Jeremy Johnson Seal Top Spoon, 1641

Sold
Spoon - Seal top - London 1641 by Jeremy Johnson - 16.8cm long; 48g - PR/8767
This is a first class example of a Charles I period silver seal top spoon and made by a top specialist spoon maker.
A major bonus with this spoon is the original thick rim to the bowl and the crisp, well detailed cast seal terminal. A further benefit is the clear set of Carolean hallmarks with excellent example of the "II" maker's mark for Jeremy Johnson to the hexagonal stem and a good bowl mark.
This fine antique spoon remains in excellent condition.
