A very good early Elizabeth I seal top spoon with typically squat, baluster terminal. The spoon is in excellent condition with a very good fig-shaped bowl. The marks are good, and although the makers mark to the reverse stem is difficult to identify it is an identical shape to the mark of known spoon maker Francis Jackson. The cast seal terminal is not engraved and is a form known to have been used by Jackson.
