Hash Spoon - Hanoverian Rattail - London 1714 by John Ladyman - 343mm long; 180g - Ref. No.: SW/2210</p>

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a superb example of a Queen Anne/George I 13.5" long serving spoon with a huge bowl and hefty weight to match (there is scratch weight of 5 oz 17dwt to the base of the stem - this remains correct). The spoon has a striking rattail to the reverse of its bowl and is an early example of the Hanoverian Pattern. It has clear Britannia Standard London hallmarks for John Ladyman. and there is a later crest to the reverse terminal. The overall condition is first class with a full size and unworn bowl and a fine original patina.
