Table Serving Spoons (pair) - King & Vine pattern - London 1823 by Edward Betts - 22.6cm long; 247g - DA/5216

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This a magnificent pair of table-sized serving spoons. They are in a very rare variant of King's Pattern with vine tendrils along the length of the handles. The terminals have a scallop shell and scroll motif and the cartouches are engraved with a double crest. The bowls are fluted and gilt with a fine vine leaf motif as the heel. These spoons have a fantastic weight of over 120 grams per spoon (100 grams is hefty for a table spoon) and just ooze high quality. They were made by a scarcely found silversmith and remain in superb condition with extremely crisp decoration throughout. A highly recommended pair of table spoons.
