Antique Silver Spice Spoons

Small silver ladles with pierced bowls were used to sprinkle spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon over puddings and toddies. They are smaller versions of the sugar sifter spoon and generally date from the very end of the 18th century and first few decades of the 19th century.
