Silver Table Spoon, Cork 1800 by J Warner
Table Spoon - Old English Pattern - Cork circa 1800 by John Warner - 24.2cm long; 72g - YS/2746a
At 9" in length, this is a good, long silver table spoon that would be ideal for serving purposes.
Made in Cork at the turn of the 17th to 18th centuries, this Irish spoon bears an original eagle crest to the front terminal and a discreet letter "C" on the heel to the back of the bowl. It is clearly stamped twice with the "IW" maker's mark for John Warner and the "STERLING" mark that typifies Irish provincial silver. This nice quality table spoon is in fine condition throughout.
