Silver NICE Wine Label, 1823 Francis Powell
Sold
Wine Label - NICE; Cut-cornered Rectangle - London 1823 by Francis Powell - 3.5cm wide - KD/4585
This rare silver wine label has the ambiguous title "NICE" that could refer to either the quality of the wine or more likely the origin.
The label is in the popular cut-cornered rectangle with reeded edge and it hangs from its original chain. It is in excellent condition with 1823 London hallmarks for Francis Powell.
Nice is the city on the Mediterranean coast in southern France with the surrounding hills containing the vineyards of the Bellet wine region.
