Wine Label - WHITE WINE; Escutcheon - London circa 1750 by John Harvey - 5.4cm long; 14g - PN/4905

This good quality antique silver White Wine label bears the 1739-55 lion passant mark and is marked with the IH script mark of John Harvey. The mark is surmounted by a star and is clearly the mark of John Harvey I shown in Grimwade ("London Goldsmiths 1697-1837") as reference 1403 registered in December 1746. John Harvey was one of the important early wine label makers.

This Georgian silver decanter label is in excellent condition.
