Silver Labrador Retriever Stirrup Cup

This is a superbly modelled silver stirrup cup in the form of a labrador retriever dog.

Made by Alfred Dunhill, famed as cigarette lighter manufacturers, this high quality silver drinking cup had a hefty feel in the hand and is a wonderfully detailed portrait of this popular hunting dog. The interior of the cup is gilt (gold-wash) and that adds an additional touch of class plus protects the silver from the corrosive effect of red wine. This 65-year old cup is in superb condition throughout.
