Besom Caddy Spoon, Sheffield 1868
Sold
Caddy Spoon - Besom - Sheffield 1868 by Henry Wilkinson - 16.2cm long; 52g - TO/1078
This is an outstanding Victorian example of a besom or witch's broom caddy spoon. This large silver caddy spoon has a textured handle and a gilt broom section that is beautifully formed with an arbitrary wavy effect as in real life.
This antique caddy spoon has a very pleasing feel in the hand and just exudes the highest quality. The modelling is expert and the condition is first class throughout with clear hallmarks - a very fine piece.
