Silver Apple Corer, 1836 Thomas Freeman
£330.00
Apple Corer - Two Sections - Birmingham 1836 by Thomas Freeman - 13.7cm long (combined); 25g - FG/5913
This is an excellent example of a William IV period pocket silver apple corer.
Apple corers were a pre-requisite for the wealthy of Georgian Britain and used to remove the core from the health giving apple.
This silver apple corer is ideal for carrying in the pocket as it has a silver handle and corer that can be detached and reversed using the threaded central section and thus protecting the corer from damage.
It is in fine condition with clear Birmingham hallmarks to both component parts for Thomas Freeman.
