Table Spoons (6) - Bead Pattern - London 1781 by William Sumner & Richard Crossley - 21.3cm long; 392g combined weight - SL/5089

A fabulous set of George III period silver table spoons in Bead pattern made by the top spoonmaking partnership of William Sumner & Richard Crossley.

Given their age, these table spoon are in remarkable condition with crisp bead decoration along the handle edges and good thick bowl tips. They have a lovely antique patina and the terminals are beautifully engraved with an original "NL" monogram in script with extra leafy flourishes. The hallmarks are crisply struck for the first year of top-striking (i.e compared to previously being punched low down on the stem - bottom-striking).

This is a very fine set of Georgian table spoons that are a joy to handle!
